Step 1. Purchase an updated PaperCut license or subscription
The way you purchase and update a PaperCut license or subscriptions depends on whether you use PaperCut NG or MF.
PaperCut NG
Go to the PaperCut NG Online Orders page to add a Payment Gateway component to your current license or subscription, or to purchase a new license or subscription with the Payment Gateway component.
PaperCut MF
Contact your Authorized PaperCut Partner either for a quote and updated license file or to add the Payment Gateway entitlement to your subscription.
For details on how to:
- install a license, see Installing a license
- activate a new subscription, see Activating/renewing a subscription.
What to purchase if you have multiple Application Servers
Scenario | Do you need multiple Payment Gateway licenses? |
|---|---|
Independent Application Servers | Yes. Each Application Server / CRN needs its own separate Payment Gateway entitlement. |
Multiple Application Servers | No. They share the single Payment Gateway entitlement pool attached to that CRN. |
Deployment setup | Number of CRNs | Payment Gateway add-ons required | How it works |
|---|---|---|---|
2 Independent App Servers | 2 CRNs | 2 Add-ons (1 per CRN) | Each CRN gets its own distinct Gateway license/subscription. |
2 App Servers under 1 CRN | 1 CRN | 2 Add-ons (under the same CRN) |
Step 2. Download, install, and configure the PaperCut Payment Gateway Module
- Download the Payment Gateway Module:
| Payment Gateway version | Windows link | macOS, Linux, or Novell link |
|---|---|---|
| 26.0.2076 - compatible with NG/MF version 25 and later. | pcng-payment-gateway-module.exe | pcng-payment-gateway-module.tar.gz |
| 24.1.2065 - compatible with NG/MF version 24 and earlier. | pcng-payment-gateway-module.exe | pcng-payment-gateway-module.tar.gz |
Step 3. Configure the specific Payment Gateway
Download the configuration guide for your specific Payment Gateway (for example, PayPal / Blackboard etc.) and follow the procedures in the guide.
How to determine which Payment Gateway version is running
To see which version of the Payment Gateway Module you have installed, refer to How to check PaperCut NG/MF component version numbers (Payment gateway module version).
