Configure an SMTP server for Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook.com

This topic explains how to configure PaperCut NG/MF to send system notifications using popular email services. When you select a service from the dropdown menu, the system pre-populates the required server and port settings

Configure Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook.com for notifications

  1. In the PaperCut admin console, select Options > Notifications.
    The Notifications page is displayed.
  2. In the SMTP Server Options section, select the Choose dropdown menu.
  3. Select your email provider (Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook.com). The SMTP Server, Port, and Encryption fields are pre-populated with the correct values.
  4. In the Username field, type your full email address.
  5. In the Password field, type your account password for Outlook.com or Yahoo. For Gmail an App password will be needed. See steps below.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Lastly, at the bottom of the Notifications tab find the Test Notifications area to test functionality.
