Early access and Percolator sign-up

PaperCut Hive cloud apps release through a staged early-access program: Private Percolator, Public Percolator, and General Availability.

Signing up provides access to Private Percolator when it opens, and a direct line to shape the release. For the HP app, Private Percolator is targeted for September 2026. Treat this date as an estimate; we will update this page and the sign-up list as the date finalizes.

No infrastructure to manage

Cloud pull delivery means the HP device connects to PaperCut Hive over a standard outbound HTTPS (443) connection to collect a job at release time. There is no inbound connection to the printer, and no print server or appliance to install, patch, or maintain. This makes it suitable for segmented, locked-down, and remote-first networks.

Runs independent of the edge node day to day

After installation, the new HP app does not rely on a local edge mesh client for login, printing, job tracking, integrated scanning or general operation. Note: Initial installation and updates still rely on an edge node, consistent with other Hive cloud apps.

Estimated timeline

Now The app is in active development. Pull delivery print system is complete. The current focus is integrating HP’s OXPd platform capabilities into the new Workpath app, followed by internal testing and benchmarking.

Next Private Percolator is targeted for October 2026. A small group of partners and customers receive hands-on Early Access and a direct feedback channel before a wider release.

Future Public Percolator and General Availability dates will follow based on Private Percolator feedback. All dates are estimates and subject to change.
