Why is Data Sovereignty important to some businesses?
Data sovereignty and security is a primary consideration for data sensitive customers. Data sovereignty refers to the idea that a country or jurisdiction has the authority and right to govern and control the data generated within its borders.

Canadian organizations may prefer to use services and products running in a Canadian hosting region so that they can maintain authority and control of their sensitive data within Canadian jurisdictional boundaries.

Canadian customers, working with sensitive data, may prefer using PaperCut Hive hosted in Canadian hosting region because they want to:

Which MFD brands are able to choose a hosing region?

All PaperCut Hive Full Embeddeds: Ricoh, Sharp, Kyocera, Toshiba, Fujifilm, Fuji Xerox, HP OXPD, Xerox, Konica Minolta*

PaperCut Hive Lite Embeddeds: Sharp, Toshiba, Epson, Fuji Xerox, HP OXPd, Konica Minolta*

* Note - Konica Minolta Full and Lite Embeddeds are not yet certified by KM so if your customer does require this certification we expect this to be available later this year.

Can new PaperCut Pocket or PaperCut Hive customers choose their hosting region?
Yes. All new PaperCut Pocket and PaperCut Hive customers can select between an Australian, United States, United Kingdom, European Union, or Canada hosting region at the time of ordering.

Can existing PaperCut Pocket or PaperCut Hive customers use the Canada hosting region?
There is no migration path from one hosting region to another. The only option to change hosting region is to cancel the existing PaperCut Hive or PaperCut Pocket instance and create a new one.

How do customers select a specific data center for PaperCut Hive?
Customers need to confirm their desired hosting region with their Reseller so please ensure that you ask this question as part of your sales process.
