Installing a license

PaperCut NG/MF licenses are issued by Accredited Resellers as a digitally signed file. Installing the license file into PaperCut NG/MF enables the software to be used in your organization.

To install the license file:

  1. Save the license file to your hard disk. Your desktop is a handy location. Files are typically named PaperCut NG/MF-[orgname].license.
  2. Log in to the PaperCut NG or MF admin interface. (Steps here .)
  3. In the admin interface, go to the About page then click on the Registration tab.
    (For version 23 and older, this information is on the About page).
  4. In the Register section, under License file click Choose file.
  5. Locate the license file saved in step 1, then click Open.
  6. Click Install license. The license details are added to the About page.
  7. Verify the license information is correct.
